On Friday 28 August, between 11:30 and 12:50, we will hold a digital reception to formally welcome all our new students to Uppsala University. In order to limit the spread of COVID-19, there will not be any physical gatherings this year. Instead, we will host a live talk show and you will get a glimpse of what the University, the student life and Uppsala as a city have to offer.
At the talk show reception, you will get to meet:
Professor Eva Åkesson, Vice-Chancellor of Uppsala University
Shirin Mavadati, student services
Erik Schwartz, student unions
Elin Wirman, student nations
Kayleigh Carter, the gym Campus 1477
John Ringh, Destination Uppsala
Two of our current students, Shreya Kohli and Thomas Bolding, will accompany you through the talk show. They will share their experiences and talk about how they dealt with the challenges that they have faced so far as students.
Come join us in the live streaming so that you can ask questions and interact with the students and the representatives in the studio. Details on how to participate will be available on this page before the event. Stay tuned.
If you are unable to join us live, don’t worry. We will record the talk show and you will get a link to watch it after the event. The link to the event will be presented here a few hours before it begins.
